Food Safety/Hygiene regulations require all food handlers to be supervised and instructed and trained in food hygiene matters. Rigorous enforcement of food safety legislation is important but it is not, in itself, sufficient to prevent food poisoning. The CIEH (Chartered Institute of Environmental Health and HABC (Highfield Awarding Body for Compliance) have designed the Level 1 course to give first tier workers an appreciation of the fundamentals of good food safety/hygiene practice.

Food Safety/Hygiene Training Level 2 Award

£500.00 per course (up to 15 max) and Individual at open venue training £80.00pp (plus exam fee if required)

The aim of the Food Safety/Hygiene Level 2 Award programme structured to the HABC Level 2 Award exam Food Safety in Catering, is to give delegates practical knowledge of the fundamentals of good practice and safe food handling.

The course is recommended for anyone working in the catering and hospitality industries, food retail or manufacturing.

The training is followed by a short multiple choice exam.

The Food Safety/Hygiene Level 3 Award course is for Supervisors/Managers – and includes sections on Legislation, applying and monitoring Food Safety/Hygiene in practice, temperature control, workplace and equipment design, waste disposal and disinfection, pest control, personal hygiene of staff, staff training, implementation of food safety procedures, food safety auditing, structured to  HABC Level 3 Award.

The course is recommended for supervisors and middle management, and people running their own business where high-risk foods are handled. A Level 2 Award is recommended before attending this course.
