Food Safety/Hygiene regulations require all food handlers to be supervised and instructed and trained in food hygiene matters. Food Safety/Hygiene is more than cleanliness; it includes all practices involved in food preparation/food manufacture. It is vital that all food handlers are aware of the hazards and controls associated with food production.

Rigorous enforcement of food safety legislation is important but it is not, in itself, sufficient to prevent food poisoning. The CIEH (Chartered Institute of Environmental Health and HABC (Highfield Awarding Body for Compliance) have designed the Level 1 course to give first tier workers an appreciation of the fundamentals of good food safety/hygiene practice.

£495.00 per course and Individual at open venue training £80.00pp (plus exam fee if required)

The aim of the Food Safety/Hygiene Level 2 Award programme structured to the HABC Level 2 Award exam Food Safety in Catering, is to give delegates practical knowledge of the fundamentals of good practice and safe food handling.

The course is recommended for anyone working in the catering and hospitality industries, food retail or manufacturing.

The training is followed by a short multiple choice exam.

Nutrition and Food Presentation

Nutrition and Food Presentation

The programme includes looking at factors affecting malnutrition.    Food presentation, encouraging clients to eat with a suitable and nutritious diet.   Hydration, making sure adequate fluid intake.  Practical workshop on helping clients to eat, and what it is like to be fed.      Discussion on menus, budget and fresh food.
