About Us

SSTAR was founded in 1996 by the current MD, Val Walker and incorporated in 1998. In that period SSTAR instructors and affiliate instructors have trained over 30,000 candidates.

Our London office provides a service to London and the Home Counties; Essex, Kent, Surrey, Sussex, Hampshire and Hertfordshire. Our Newbury office provides a service to Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Wiltshire. SSTAR works closely with the HSE (Health and Safety Executive), the CIEH (Chartered Institute of Environmental Health), HABC (Highfield Awarding Body Compliance), to deliver courses to meet the users' needs in preventing accidents and ill health, and promoting safety and wellbeing of all.

Effective health & safety training is vital to ensure all levels of staff are aware of current legislation, their responsibilities to others, and to enable them to make contributions to raising health & safety standards within their organisation.

SSTAR qualified, experienced instructors and consultants, have years of experience in occupational safety in a wide range of industries, hospitals, clinics, Social Care and Corporate Business, working to develop safety skills and knowledge , and helping to encourage a safer workforce and place of work.
